What is it, exactly?
Every month, you'll be matched with a like-hearted human from our community of over 200 people from 30 countries. Someone who's walking their path, asking big questions, and is open to seeing life through a new lens.
You'll meet for a self-guided, intentional 60-minute conversation, sparked by monthly themes and curated prompts written by me.
This is an experiment in what it means to be human with a little more depth, wonder, and magic!

Themes rotate every month.
Each month, you and your match get a self-guided toolkit: short, theme-based prompts plus a few playful micro-games. It's designed to melt the ice, spark depth, and keep the hour flowing naturally (no awkward small talk, promise).

hey friends,
i've always been fascinated by what happens when people really connect. not just through a screen, but face to face... even if that face is beaming in from across the world.
ever since the storytelling events, then document your life, and the sailing trip… i've seen how powerful it can be when strangers come together with openness and intention.
this project is a way to keep that energy going, to help more of you meet each other in a way that feels honest and real. in a world that nudges us toward endless scrolling, carving out time for a single focused conversation feels almost radical. the spark that happens when two curious humans share stories can shift perspectives, soothe loneliness, and remind us we're not alone in our questions. 💛
it's still an experiment, and i'm not sure exactly how it'll all shape up but i do know that a single conversation can change everything.

How does the matching work?
Once you sign up, you'll fill out a short form about where you are in life, what you're craving, and how you like to connect. Once a month (for now), you'll get a match via email with a new experience to follow with a new human :)
What language are the conversations in? 🗣️
All conversations happen in English. You must be able to comfortably speak and understand English to participate :)
How do we choose a date and time? 🗓️
When you fill out your profile, you can add a personal Calendly or Google Calendar link so your match can easily book a time with you. If you don't have a calendar link, no worries. You'll both get an email introducing each other, and it's up to you to schedule your call.
Is this a dating platform?
Not at all. This is for a meaningful, non-romantic connection. If something sparks, cool, but that's not the goal. This is about deep, human conversations, not romantic matchmaking.
Can I choose who I'm matched with?
We'll do our best to match you with someone aligned, but we can't guarantee specific requests every time.
What if I keep missing calls or ghosting?
We want to keep this space warm and respectful. If you're matched 2 times and don't show up for your calls, we'll kindly remove you from the system to make space for others.
How long is each call? ⏰
Each call is designed to last about 45–60 minutes, with guided prompts to ease you in. It can be longer if you're both feeling it.
When do the community gatherings happen? 🛋️
Once a month in our virtual living room! We'll send you an email invite 1 week before our call :)
Can I cancel my subscription?
Absolutely, you can cancel anytime. Just send us a quick message at karam@karamintheworld.com and we'll take care of it :)
Can I get a refund if I change my mind or can't make the call?
We know life happens, and we always want this to feel good. While we don't offer refunds, we're more than happy to extend your subscription by a month if your partner doesn't show up or if something unexpected comes up. When can I join?
You can join anytime! Pairings go out during the last week of every month :) Our monthly calls also happen around this time.
